For this purpose, you can install the software called ” ViStart” a free tool to get the classic start menu in window 8.1 . I’m using this tool to create a window 10 like start menu in your window 8. For now ” Download Vistart” and run this int your PC. It is does not like any other software installation, it can be run directly. When first time you run this program, It can automatically create “ViStart” directory in the “AppData” folder, which is used to create the any skins of window 10 in window 8.1.
When you run this program, and Vistart opened, then right click on it, and click on “Exit” means close this program.

Now again open the Command Promt and type the below command in it for opening the language directory from here.
%apdata%ViStartLanguages
I recommend you to rename the original name of “English.xml” before copying them into directory with “English_backup.xml” . To do this, simply right click on file and double click on it slowly to edit its name , and rename it with “English_backup.xml” or simply select file and press F2 for rename.
Now you can copy this file, and paste it into the language directory folder.
Now this is the time, for make your start menu look like window 10, simply right click on ViStart icon in the tray icons and click on “Option” menu.
After click on option, a pop up window appear, now this is called the “Control Panel” for changing the skins of start menu. Now in this window, you can select your choice, see screen shot below :
From below list, you select the Start orb which you like and then click on it. See below pic:
Now, see right side menu, and click on “Configure” option, where you can set the start menu options simply see the demo below :
Click on “Desktop” option, which is able you to how the Start Button and also window key behaves like.
Note : If you want to change anything from “How Should The Window 8 Features Work” section, you must restart your PC’s and then this effect is able to behave like.
In “About” section, you will be able to check the some thing about ViStart and also check out the update of it.
Now all work is done, you can simply click “X” button on the right corner and close this control panel.
Now, enjoy the full featured window 10 like start menu in window 8 and window 8.1, check the screen shot of combining effect the classic start menu and window 8 start screen.
