Moto X 2017: Motorola’s first Dual camera smartphone to be called as Moto X4

Moto X 2017 is Motorola’s first Dual camera smartphone. Yes, you heard it right! Motorola was not so much into camera till now. In fact, Motorola devices had an average camera, even Moto’s flagship was failed to shine in camera segment. But the game changed with Moto G4 Plus and recently Moto G5 Plus. Both devices were launched with a solid camera.

Moto G4 Plus and recently Moto G5 Plus’ rear cameras have impressive specifications. They were looking good on paper and they did manage to shine in rear world tests also. So much so that both the devices had one the best camera performance in their segment.

Looks like Moto wants to take it to flagship lineup, Moto X 2017 is said to be a great performer in the camera department. It will be Motorola’s first Android flagship device with dual-rear cameras.

Looks like Moto wants to go all-in with its 2017 flagship range. It should be noted that the Moto X series was the flagship series for Motorola until Moto Z range took over last year. But Moto Z sales are that great and looks like Moto is giving reborn to Moto X series.

The reports suggest that the device will be featuring a front fingerprint scanner. It is said to come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It will have a classy looking glass and metal body. The primary camera is expected to feature laser auto-focus system like Moto G4 Plus had.

Other specifications are, it will 5.5-inch display, it will be powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 66. It will have 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. It is said to have  3,800 mAh battery with QuickCharge support.

The Moto X (2017) will actually be called Moto X4 which would line up under the Moto X, Moto X2, and the Moto X Style and probably the next flagship will be Moto X4.

A few hours ago, a presentation given on Moto X 2017 was leaked. A person was at the event, the person took a small video of the on-going presentation and uploaded on YouTube. The video is going viral. Have a look at the video as well.
