After the success of Mi A1, last year, Xiaomi is going to launch it’s successor Mi A2.
This time also Xiaomi has partnered with Google to release an Android One smartphone.
M1 A1 was a huge success. Though there were a lot of customer complaints and grievances about the product, including the UI and the camera. Xiaomi has claimed that A2 will be devoid of all those malfunctions and will be a better and revised version of A1.

Style and Display
Mi A2 has a simplistic design mostly like every other Xiaomi phones.
It boasts of a 15.2cm (5.99) screen. It supports 18:9 FHD+ Display. It supports 403 PPI. Thus the users are going to experience rich colors and a very good contrast. It is going to provide very good video rendering quality and also very good game experience on high quality settings.
The phone has rounded corners and a metal body, which sometimes makes the phone tend to slip out of hand.
It comes in a total of 4 colors – Gold, Lake Blue, Black and Rose Gold.
It packs dual cameras on it’s rear, giving it a classy look.
The phone in itself is quite compact and slim. It’s width is 7.3 mm. It is also quite lighting weighing just 168 grams.

It packs in itself Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 660 AIE chipset which is a flagship processor with AI engine. Thus the overall performance of this device is going to be quite high.
Battery
The phone will have 3010 mAh（typ）/ 2910 mAh（min）Non-removable battery to keep the device working for a whole day without charging.
The device also support Fast charge with 5 V/ 2 A charging ports.
To fully charge the device 30 – 45 minutes will be required.
Camera
One of main feature of A1 was it’s dual camera. Xiaomi has improved the camera on A2 for even better resulting photography and videography.
It rocks a 20 MP AI Camera on the rear as well as on the front.
While the secondary camera on the rear has 12 MP.
The front camera includes features like – AI-powered Beautify 4.0, HDR, 4500K soft-toned selfie light, Selfie timer, Face recognition.
While, the rear camera has – Background blurring in portrait mode, Single color temperature flash, Light enhancement technology, HDR imaging technology, Panorama mode, Burst mode, Face recognition, AI Beautify 4.0.
Mi A2 supports 4K video shooting (3840 x 2160 30 fps), Slow motion video (720p 120 fps) and also EIS (Electronic image stabilization).
All these features will allow you to record professional videos and will facilitate for even amateur film making.
Connectivity
The phone will have dual 4G SIM card slots. However you will be able to use only one in 4G mode while the other in 3G/ 2G mode.
The phone will have support WiFi and Bluetooth.
Like every other Android phone in the market today, this phone will also have a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device.
