Mi Max 2 specifications leaked, launch on 23rd May. Xiaomi launched Mi Max phablet last year with a very attractive price tag. The device was having large screen still it managed to fit in a regular pocket. The device was quite successful in the Indian market. Reportedly, it seems that it’s sequel will be released soon.
Mi Max 2 was rumoured to be launched on 29th April at China event of Mi. Instead, Xiaomi launched long-awaited Mi6. A news report from China suggests that the device may be launched on 23rd of May.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to have a large screen just like it’s predecessor. It is expected to have 6.44″ 1080p full HD IPS LCD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is said to be powered by MIUI 8 or MIUI 9 which will be based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Compared to the previous model, battery capacity has been increased. The device may be launched with Non-removable Li-Ion 5000mAh battery.
Earlier, it was rumoured that the device will be powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 clocked at 2.2GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. News are coming that it’s higher end variant may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 having Octa-core Kryo 260 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz with Adreno 512 GPU.
Xiaomi Mi Max will have a 12MP rear camera having Sony IMX378 camera sensor. The front camera is expected to be 5 megapixels. The device is said to save two variants. One will have 4GB RAM which might be powered by Snapdragon 626 and may come with 32GB internal memory. Another variant might be powered by Snapdragon 660 having 6GB RAM and either 64GB internal memory. The higher variant may also have the 128GB option as well.
